Olympic Champions invited to compete in Montemor

The Portuguese Canoe Federation, main organizer of the 2017 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup I decided to invite all individual Olympic Champions and C1 women World Champion 2016 to compete in Montemor-o-Velho this year.



The Portuguese Canoe Federation, main organizer of the 2017 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup I decided to invite all Olympic Champions and C1 women World Champion 2016 to compete in Montemor-o-Velho this year.
With the goal of increasing the level of the event, the organization is offering all individual boats Olympic Champions plus the C1 200 meters women World Champion in 2016 the opportunity to compete in this World Cup, free of charge.

It’s one more effort to bring attention to this event, that will happen just one week before the second world Cup in Hungary and the ultimate investment to secure a quality event in Portugal this year.

Having already some confirmations, we hope we can see all this paddlers, most of them already known i this venue, again to compete for the first medals of the new Olympic Cycle Tokyo 2020.
