One week to go

We are only one week away to start the first world Cup of the season and today we published the updated timetable of the event, that included 2 hours of live TV in Eurosport and Portuguese national TV. The file can be found under documents menu or here


The provisional start list and competitors list will be available tomorrow at canoesprintportugal.com in the online results system.


Argentina, Austria,Australia,Brazil,Canada,Chile,Colombia,Cuba,Ecuador,Egypt,France,Great Britain,Greece,Hungary,Japan,Kazakhstan,Morocco,New Zealand,Peoples Republic of China,Poland,Portugal,Puerto Rico,South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United states of America and Venezuela will be compeing in this event from 15 to 17 of May.


Big names like Lisa Carrignton , Kenny Wallace, Adam Van Koeverden are just a few of the stars competing at this venue for the first time, among with the Portuguese main paddlers, Fernando Pimenta, Emanuel Silva, Teresa Portela, and others.

At the venue the preparations are under way and the weather is promising some good temperatures.

First teams as already arrive and the rest is coming in the following days to Montemor-o-Velho and Figueira da Foz.

Until the end of the week the HOC will publish the final information bulletin including shuttle service schedule and other important information’s for all participating teams.
